Archive workshop in the Brady Collection, Christ Church 23 January
The Oxford Eighteenth-Century Literature and Culture Seminar invites you to an archive workshop on Monday 23 January focussing on the rich and little-known holdings of the Christ Church Brady collection of theatrical ephemera. The Brady collection encompasses theatrical ephemera and related performance materials from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of theatre, performance, and popular print culture. The workshop will offer an introduction to the scope of the collection, some insights into its potential uses, a display of the toy theatre collection in the library, and a chance to explore some of the hidden gems held in the library.
Please gather in the Porter’s Lodge at 5pm for a 5.15 start in the library.
