Call for papers: Long Eighteenth Century Research-in-Progress Seminar

The “Long-Eighteenth-Century Research in Progress” seminar is proud to invite presentation proposals for Michaelmas Term 2014. While eighteenth-century literature has been our focus, we also provide a space in which all aspects of the period can be discussed and thus welcome speakers from across the disciplines. The following dates are available: October 15th, November 12th and November 26th.

The seminar would be of particular interest to graduate students seeking to gain valuable public speaking experience and wishing to present their research in a supportive and receptive environment. In the past we have invites speakers from all backgrounds, from professors testing new research directions to masters students eager to share the results of their final thesis. Presentations can range from conference-sytle papers to less structured discussions of research in progress.

Interested speakers should email [email protected] with their name, university, proposed presentation title and availability (although we are mostly looking for speakers available during Michaelmas at the moment, we are open to proposals for Hilary and Trinity as well). We look forward to hearing from you!
