Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate - History Faculty, George Street, Oxford

Grade 5: £24,057 p.a.

The Faculty of History at the University of Oxford and the National Trust (London & South East) are pleased to invite applications for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate.

This innovative new partnership between the University of Oxford and the National Trust will develop new skills within both organisations: a cadre of engaged academics producing material relevant to the heritage sector; and processes for sourcing information and turning it into high quality interpretive content that improves the experience of the National Trust’s supporters.

We are seeking a highly motivated, multi-talented KTP Associate to play a major role in the implementation of this project. S/he will engage with Oxford researchers and National Trust experts to implement and evaluate mechanisms for sourcing relevant academic research and using it to create content that supports a superlative experience for visitors to the Trust’s properties and digital channels.

You will have excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to persuade, influence and enthuse a wide variety of people. You must be adaptable, resourceful and capable of strategic thinking. Expertise in the academic topics relevant to this project are not required, but an ability to understand the importance of this research is essential.

The post is available from December 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter for a fixed-term of 2 years, and will be based in the National Trust Hub Office in Saunderton, near High Wycombe and Oxford; travel to a variety of Trust properties will be required. For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Dr Oliver Cox ([email protected]).

The deadline for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 16 November 2015. To apply for this role and for further details, click here.
